Terms and Conditions (for service)

Our work is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. The signing of this work order, by any company representative constitutes an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Also, by signing this work order, the recipient of the goods or services described agrees that the information presented on this work order is accurate and complete. Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice.
If any of the information contained in this work order is inaccurate or otherwise incorrect please contact your service representative immediately.

  1. PRICES: Published prices are subject to change without notice.
  2. PAYMENT: Payment for services rendered is due upon completion. Payment terms may be arranged, but must have prior approval by Award Service Co. If at any time, these Terms and Conditions are not met, Award Service Co. reserves the right to change the current payment terms.
  3. PARTS AVAILABILTY: The availability of suitable replacement parts is strictly subject to current market conditions, and Award Service Co. cannot be held liable or responsible for loss or damages, due to equipment failure or downtime, regardless of the reason. Any parts shipped to-site, will remain the property of Award Service Co., until their use is documented with a work order.
  4. TRAVEL CHARGES: A one-time Trip Charge will apply to each round trip service call that accrues. The Trip Charge equals $20.00 if within 15 miles of Award Service Co. General Office; $25.00 16 but </= 25 miles & $30.00 on calls over 26 miles but </= 30 miles radius from Award Service Co. General Office. Any services call over 31 miles one-way; the Trip Charge will be billed as Travel Time.
  5. WARRANTIES: All parts and services carry a 30 day Parts and Labor Warranty. Warranty begins on the date the original service call was completed. Any service rendered on equipment that fits Warranty criteria, by anyone other than Award Service Co. certified personnel, VOIDS any Warranties, written or implied.
  6. PRE-PAID TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Any pre-paid technical support is strictly advisory in nature. Award Service Co. cannot be liable for any misdiagnosis via the telephone.
  7. CHECKS RETURNED FOR INSUFFICIENT OR NONSUFFICIENT FUNDS: Award Service Co. charges a $25.00 Fee for checks returned for insufficient funds.
  8. RETURN POLICY: All returns require an RMA number. This number is obtained from a Customer Service Representative. Consumable Items can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date if and only if the item is sealed and unopened in its original retail packaging. All returns for a refund are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Award Service Co. Refurbished Equipment carries a 30 days limited hardware warranty. No Supplies or Maintenance Kits are covered under the Warranty if applicable.
  9. The customer guarantees payment within the specified terms and agrees to reimburse Award Service Co. for all expenses incurred in collecting the amount of this invoice. A service charge of 1.5% per month will be added to all past due amounts.
  10. Consent of Waiver of Liability: Award Service Company recommends that you backup all existing data and original copies and/or licensing agreements for programs installed on your computer prior to being serviced. There is possibility that all data and programs could be lost in the repair process. 1) You assume all risk of loss of files/data from any and all causes or in any way related to or resulting from the sales, repair, copying or backup files, or other service by Award Service Company. You release Award Service Company from any claim or liability related to any loss of files/data for any reason whatsoever, including due to our negligence. You agree that you are fully responsible to keep and maintain a backup of your important files/data before service, and we will have no liability for any reason whatsoever if you do not do so. If you ask us to back up your files/data, we will attempt to do so subject to the limits of the backup software and the integrity of your files/data. If our backup does not work, or any files/data are lost or damages, our maximum liability is a refund of the backup service fee.  2) We will not be responsible for items left over 30 days from the date of service completion of our reasonable attempt to notify you. 3) Unless you pay for priority service, service requests are performed on a first serve basis. 4) Most manufacturers warranties and extended service or technology assurance plans only cover hardware related repairs. Be sure you understand the terms and conditions of any warranties on your products and the limitation s of those warranties. 5) There will be a minimum charge of $85.00 for a non-warranty issue.
  11. Limitations of Remedy: Under no circumstances shall Award Service Company be liable to you or any other person for any damages, including without limitations any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, expense costs, profits, lost savings or earnings, lost or corrupted data, or other liability arising out of or related to the services provided by Award Service Company or out of the installation, use of, or inability to use your computer equipment, hardware, peripherals, or the network as a result of the services provided.
  12. Access: Award Service Company must have 1) access to your residence or business and the computer(s) and /or peripheral(s) to be serviced, 2) your consent and cooperation to enter your residence or business, 3) a safe working environment, work space, and 4) electrical power. If the technician determines that these conditions have not been met, services may be denied and a $115.00 cancellation charge assessed.
  13. Award Service Company is not liable for pricing errors. If you place an order for a product that was incorrectly priced, we will cancel your order and credit you for any charges. In the event that we inadvertently ship an order based on a pricing error, we will issue a revised invoice to you for the correct price and contact you to obtain your authorization for the additional charge, or assist you with return of the product. If the pricing error results in an overcharge to you, Award Service Company will credit your account for the amount overcharged.
